Halloween

Frosting cookies and decorating them

Claire loved the frosting

Lily just couldn't wait to eat hers!

Ollie took his time and decorated all his cookies before deciding which one he wanted to eat first.

One day I put this in Ollie lunch.  Inside is a juice box.  I'm glad that he's not too cool to have fun with.  :)

One day I dressed the girls up as mummies.  They loved it!  I didn't wrap Claire's head because I knew she wouldn't like it.  They loved showing Papa their scary noises.

Carving the pumpkin.

I love kids' fascination with the inside!  I look forward to carving the pumpkin all year so I can watch my kids enjoy it.  :)

Cinderella, Harry Potter, and a lady bug at the ward trunk-or-treat.  Mom and one day old Katie missed the fun.

Halloween night.

I tried to get a picture of each kid by the pumpkin.  Claire refused to get out of Lily's picture.  :)

More Misc. Pictures

Claire has been going through a wonderpets phase.  She loves to sleep with her friends.

General conference weekend...  We taped a bunch of brown paper to the floor for the kids to color on.  I suggested they draw a city and get the cars out and play...  no luck.  The activity only kept them quiet for about 10 minutes.  :)

Another conference weekend activity.  We made colored sugar cookie dough and then made fun cookies with it.  The kids LOVED this activity and they loved eating their creations.

The finished cookies

A preschool activity that we did for snack after Ollie got home from school.  We stuck spaghetti noodles in some floam and then sorted fruit loops by colors.

Ollie has got to be the best big brother ever.  He loves to do activites like this with his little sisters.

Great practice for Claire's hand/eye coordination.  She did really well and then after a while she just wanted to eat the fruit loops.

Yet another preschool activity.  We did this one day when Ollie had the school day off.  We learned about primary and secondary colors and then painted and practices mixing the colors to get new colors.

Painting is ALWAYS a huge HIT with our kids.  Nothing like a colorfull mess.  :)

Ollie loves art!

Lily's Birthday Trip

We have a family tradition of taking our kids on a special day with just Mom and Papa for their fifth birthday.  Lily got to go to Dallas and see the musical "Pinkalicious".  The weather was stormy on the way up.  We didn't want to stop for lunch because we worried we might be late for the show so we had some fast food in the car.  Lily loved the happy meal.  We got to the theatre early enough to take some pictures.  Spencer commented how he had never seen so much pink in his life.  :)  Lily loved the show!  After the intermission they had the kids who were having birthdays come up and we sang to them.  Lily enjoyed it!  On the way home we stopped at Logan's steakhouse.  Lily remembered going to a steakhouse before and had been asking recently if we could eat at the place where you throw the peanut shells on the floor.
Lily got a new pink dress

Telling us she's turning five

Coloring in the car (Thanks Cathy for the new coloring book and watching our other kids!)

We sure had fun!

Fun Misc. Pictures

We recently repainted our living room, kitchen, and hall- for the third time.  Because it was going to be the third time we decided we should get samples and try a section before doing the whole thing.  We choose the top middle paint and it looks great!  Sorry to my poor hubby who has to keep painting!  A side note-  We had a long weekend and I was planning that we should go to Sea World.  When I very enthusiastically told Spencer about my plans I could tell he was less than thrilled.  A few days later I had the inspiration to suggest painting over the long weekend instead of going out of town.  He very enthusiastically agreed.  :)  Good think he likes painting more than crowds.

Claire prefers to stack the canned goods instead of blocks...  watch your toes when they all come tumbling down!

The painting weekend- Claire loves to climb.  Thankfully she is getting a little more calm.

No fear child jumping to Mom in the pool.

Another fun thing to do with the cans = play store in the living room and wonder why mom doesn't really like this new game.

I recently bought a water bath canner and I've used it several times.  Here's a beautiful picture of  some of the pears.

One night for FHE dessert we had chocolate dipped bananas.  They were yummy and messy.  Sure to please any kid.

Making cookies with Papa.

A preschool lesson about our 5 senses.  Learning about taste and tasting a few things that look the same but taste different.  The girls really liked this activity.  Claire got lucky and got the yogurt while Lily got the sour cream.  Claire also got the sugar and Lily the salt.  :)
