Jaguars

Last night for family home evening, Ollie wanted to give the lesson (just like always). We usually have a repeat of whatever he learned in primary that week but this time he had something different planned.
He brought out a picture of Jesus and the scriptures. He then told us that we were going to learn all the stories of Jesus and Papa was going to read us the Book of Luke. Mom (looking at the clock) quickly vetoed that idea and limited it to one story. So we then asked Ollie what story he wanted to hear. He thought for a minute and then said, "The one where Jesus saves the Jaguar." We off course, were stumped. We then realized that he was thinking of a leopard- which means the story of the Lepers. We had a good laugh about that. Then Papa explained that lepers are people, not wild animals. :)
After the story, Ollie wanted Papa to read the back of the picture of Jesus that he had picked. The back was mostly about the artist who had painted the picture. Ollie had thought it was going to be about Jesus. I could tell by the look on his face, as Spencer read the words, that Ollie was crushed. So we then went and picked two pictures out of the gospel art kit and Papa read those to us.
I'm glad that my little boy loves to talk about Jesus and teach us what he is learning. Even if it is about jaguars.
