Funny sidenote: Lily didn't really remember most of the cousins or Aunts and Uncles. We talk about them so their names were familiar but not their faces. Spencer looks a lot like his oldest brother and for the first little while Lily would get them mixed up. She kept going up to Uncle Danny and wanted him and called him Papa a few times. After a while she realized and then she would look more carefully. :)

Fourth of July

We had a lot of fun on the fourth of July. Since it was on a Sunday we celebrated Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. What a treat to have three days!



Saturday we went to Riverton park. Ollie and Lily choose to go on a car driving ride. They were both very happy to go on a ride. Lily really thought she was driving and threw a FIT (hello, two year old) when the ride was over. Then we settled down, ate some yummy snacks, and watched the fireworks.




Sunday, we went over to my cousins house and had a party for Uncle Denny. Most of my extended family was there and it was really good to see them all! (Above) All the kids were excited for the pinata and waited in line for their turn. (Below) Lily taking her turn to hit the pinata. (We were busy chating with people and didn't get a picture of Ollie in time. Oops!)







Monday, we started out the day swimming at the pool. Then we went over to the lake. We loved using the canoes. The kids were thrilled to be out on the water. Check out the mountains in the background of the picture!



After canoeing we went back to my parents house and had dinner. After it got dark we got out the sparklers and fireworks. Lily was fascinated with the sparklers and kept wanting more. Ollie was a bit more cautious. He did a few but then he just wanted to watch.



We had very happy kids that night!

Mason's Birthday Party

We enjoyed being able to go to cousin Mason's first birthday party! What a cute kid! We don't usually get to go to birthday parties to we were especially glad to be there.

Mountains

One of the highlights every year is going to the mountains.


The kids love finding gnomes! Here's Ollie looking at a gnome house. He especially liked the little gnome toilet.



Here's Lily finding a gnome cookie on a tree. She thought it was neat to find cookies on trees!



We love building a fire and roasting hot dogs and making s'mores.



Ollie loved the hiking! He just kept wanting to take off and go explore. Grandpa was kind enough to keep an eye on him!



Lily loved throwing rocks into the river. She sat for over an hour and threw rocks. Everytime she threw one in she got so excited. Papa was nice and patient and kept finding her more rocks. We love the mountains!

Aunt Lizzy's Wedding

We had a GREAT trip to Utah! We spent a wonderful 2 1/2 weeks playing with our families. Here's some pictures of the highlights of our trip (and when I had our camera). :)
