Texas Popcorn

We added a new member to our family on Father's Day weekend. It was Spencer's fathers day present that he has wanted for a long time. Ollie wanted to name her Texas and Lily wanted the middle name to be Popcorn. Ollie really enjoys her and is very good about feeding her twice each day. Spencer loves to take her for runs in the morning and it's his job to scoop the poop. Spencer and Ollie are both working hard on training her and she seems to be a fast learner. So far she has learned to sit and not jump on people. She does still get excited and jump up on small children but they are working with her. I'm not a huge animal person so she is an outside dog. I feel bad that it's been so hot out there but... I don't want dog hair all over and all our stuff chewed up. :) I do make sure she has water throughout the day.

Misc. Utah/Wyoming Trip

I always have good intentions of finishing documenting our California/Utah/Wyoming trip. But then life happens... Here's a few highlights. We sure enjoyed out time on vacation!

We saw a 3-D animal documentary movie. Kids loved it! Ollie talked about it for days!

Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum- always a favorite, especially the sand/water table.

A cave full of dinosaurs!

Super scarey dinosaurs!!!

Claire's not too sure about multiple airplane rides... neither was Mom but we made it home.
The pictures are obviously out of order- we didn't fly back home in the middle of the trip. :)

We took the "train" to get downtown. When we got there we got to see Temple Square and go right up and touch the temple.

A night in the mountains complete with fire, cousins, and gnomes!

Lily swimming in Grandma Beck's little pool.

Claire and Great Grandma Barney.

The kiddos playing in the reflection pool. I must admit that everytime I see it I want to get in and play too!

The Stirland Brothers.

A tea party. Lily dressed up as tinkerbell and had faries painted on her cheeks. Ollie was the only boy and choose to have his face painted like a prince. I guess in his mind a prince has big blue eyes???

Claire and Mason. Claire is about 4 months older than Mason but they are about the same size. Claire had lots of fun pulling on him and grabbing his hair.

In Wyoming we were able to celebrate Grandma Barney's 90th birthday and Grandma Stirland's retirement.

So that's our hightlights for out trip. Just like the trip this post was fast and furious. :)
